HYDRAcap®

HYDRAcap® is a technology using ultrafiltration PES hollow fibers (0.025 um pore size). The modules are suitable for a wide range of applications including ground water and pretreated surface water for potable water production. The low fouling hydrophilic structure enables to operate at high fluxes for long filtration periods.

Hydranautics has more than fifteen years of experience providing HYDRAcap® modules (available with a 0.8mm ID fiber diameter or a 1.2 mm ID fiber diameter for high solids load applications).

The HYDRAcap®+ range exhibits 20% higher membrane area than standard HYDRAcap® range for the optimized footprint.

Regarding UF permeate quality, a 5 LRV bacteria and 4 LRV virus can be achieved thanks to tight pore size (0.025 µm).

All HYDRAcap® models have NSF61 certification for potable water applications.

HYDRAcap® MAX

HYDRAcap® MAX is a technology using ultrafiltration PVDF TIPS hollow fibers (0.08 micron pore size). The pressurized hollow fiber modules are suitable for a wide range of applications as either final treatment or as pretreatment to reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF).

Surface water and ground water

HYDRAcap® MAX offers combined benefits of high recovery and low footprint due to its optimized membrane area and novel cleaning regimes. High strength PVDF membrane minimizes fiber breakage rate and ensures consistently superior filtrate quality, This enables RO and NF systems to be operated at higher fluxes while maintaining longer intervals between cleanings.

No backwash pump is required for HYDRAcap® MAX systems. Physical cleaning is performed with air scouring thanks to a unique and patented air diffuser design.

Along with these modules offerings, Hydranautics provides access to a novel web simulator to design HYDRAcap® MAX systems in a simple and effective way. The simulator is currently being used by thousands of engineers to design and understand the whole ultrafiltration unit. Contact Hydranautics for more information or to get access to the program.

HYDRAcube system: A pre-engineered and standardized rack system where all modules connections are integrated within a single header piece. This system allows HYDRAcap® MAX modules to operate in robust conditions and in an optimized footprint environment.

HYDRAsub®

Hydranautics offers submerged modules with PVDF hollow fiber for MBR applications. Compared to conventional activated sludge treatment, MBR and particularly HYDRAsub® produces high-quality permeate water suitable for RO treatment. This drastically reduces the footprint by the elimination of sedimentation tank and operation at higher MLSS.

Two types of technologies are available:

HYDRAsub® technology uses a microfiltration fiber with a pore size of 0.4 µm. Modules size proposed are ranging from 15 to 1500 m2

HYDRAsub®MAX technology uses an ultrafiltration fiber with a pore size of 0.05 µm. Modules size proposed are ranging from 40 to 2400 m2

The key features of the product are a high flux operation, a low footprint requirement, a very simple process and a very robust material for an extended life time.

Hydranautics has designed and patented a unique diffuser system incorporated within the stainless steel cage for optimized aeration. These two technologies are suitable for municipal and industrial wastewater applications (chemical, textile, food and beverage or palm oil applications among many others).
